Ron graduated from Mansfield University in 1972 becoming a Law Clerk for SBA after the Agnes Flood Disaster and later moving into the banking industry where he held the position of Senior Vice President at both Chemical Bank of New York and National Bank and Trust/NBT Bancorp where he was crucial to the Bank’s growth and overall success throughout his tenure before retiring in 2014.
Ron developed his work ethic while growing up in Wellsboro working in his family’s business, Millard’s Sunoco Station, pumping gas and repairing cars, helping with the tourist cabins and enjoying unlimited free gas, Pepsi and candy from their store.
Ron has always been very active in community organizations and dedicates his time and talents to many groups. Ron is an outstanding leader who understands our business, our mission and our communities. Under Ron’s expert guidance, the Mansfield Foundation has achieved greater focus and success as stewards of donor funds. He has been instrumental as Chair of the Mansfield Foundation’s Finance & Investment Committee Chair in growing the Foundation’s endowment for inter-generational growth.
Ron was awarded the Wellsboro Alumni Associations Alumnus of the Year Award in 2018.
