Michelle Towers Memorial Scholarship

The purpose of this award is to remember a founding sister of the Sisters of Social Service, Michelle Towers. Michelle attended Mansfield University where she graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. After graduation, Michelle taught at the Clewistown Primary School in Clewistown, Florida and had started working on her Masters degree at Southern Florida State University. Tragically, Michelle passed away in 1987 while scuba diving off the coast of Florida. This scholarship is awarded to an individual who demonstrates the same spirit and enthusiasm that Michelle had for the teaching profession.
